I am still amazed at the negative connotation that pot still carries around. As compared to alcohol, the number of violent crimes and fatalities is significantly lower. Many politicans and citizens choose to ignore this and focus on the illegality of pot. Lest we forget the prohibition era when alcohol was illegal.
I work in an incredibly demanding industry and I see the effects of alcohol day after day. Withdrawals, liver disease and drunk driving victims. But pot is so bad? When people admit to smoking pot they are looked down upon. Little do they know that in their midst is a stoner that has her affairs in order. The "truth" commercials that portray stoners as stuck to the spot, giggling, drooling, hallucinating fools not only is discouraging but also offensive. There should be commercials that actually do have the truth in them. How about stoners sitting around, enjoying a conversation about music or cinema without being potrayed as heathens a la Reefer Madness. Or the ugly truth that alcohol has been the cause of more sexual assaults than pot ever could be.

But these are just my "retarded" thoughts and opinions.
