Hello spring. Picked up the Ray-Ban “New” Way­far­ers in SoHo. Cherry blos­soms from the Union Square Green­mar­ket. They should bloom in ten days.

Greenmarket Roasted Chicken Soup

This chicken soup was incred­i­ble. Every­thing, exclud­ing the herbs, came from the Union Square Greenmarket. I started with a good look­ing chicken… not to be con­fused with dick chicken.

Sprin­kled with kosher salt.

An assort­ment of root veg­eta­bles from the green­mar­ket. I used cele­riac, rutabaga, car­rots, turnips, and parsnips.
